I'm a total newbie to digital photography. All I know comes from browsing through the reviews and forums in this website.

My priorities (I think):
1. good image quality
2. image stabilization
3. wide-angle
4. not too bulky

Currently I'm debating between Konica Minolta A200 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1. The former looks a little too bulky, and I didn't find any reviews for the latter.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Manu

Your points -
1 - 3 not much to choose between them..
4. Not too bulky - while the A-200 is not what I would call massive - it is
not quite your pocket camera either! The Panasonic wins hands down in that department.
So it depends if other things sway you - I love the switchable aspect ratio on the Panasonic - and Panasonics are well known for the Anti shake systems ( the A-200 happens to exell with it's anti-shake)
Reviews? not seen any yet there are news and release information posts (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0507/05072003panasonic_lx1.asp) so you can get a bit of an idea - the lens has a smaller zoom on th panasonic - both start wide at 28mm equiv. the lens goes a bit darker also as it zooms.
So I would possibly say the Panasonic may be your better bet - though the A-200 is excellent and a great camera to learn on.
