I got the Pentax-M 135mm F/3.5 on ebay for $45 shipped and a Leica Elpro VIb 5.5diopter macro lens for $5 on ebay also.

The 135mm 3.5 is supposed to be a very sharp lens. The only criticism I could make about the macros shots is your technique is a little off. The combination you are using is giving a very narrow DOF. You should try to keep most of the subject perpendicular to the camera (ie, at a right angle). The way more will be within the zone of focus. That little ant in the last shot was okay because he is so small, but the wasp has some part out of focus slightly. If you'd have got him at a right angle, that wouldn't have happened.

Great macro rig for very little money! :D

Yeah I agree with you for the first pic. The DOF is really short. But that's what happens with a 200mm macro! I'm already using F/32 for all of these shots. The on camera flash is perfect for it. All these shots were taken with the built in flash.

f/32 and still you only have that much DOF ? holy .. !!! :eek:
