Hey guys,
I am supposed to film a wedding in december, and before that happens I need to buy a camera and some lenses. so I have a few questions.

1. When printed, is there a noticible difference in the way a film image looks vs the way a digital image looks?

2. What would be a good entry level camera, and what sort of lenses should I look to get?

3. Whats the deal with these kits on the ebay, are they worth while?

Thanks for any help.

1. Up to about 8 x 10 no. Even 11 x 14 is pretty close if you upsample to 300dpi in Photoshop.

2. Nikon D50, Canon 350D, Pentax *ist Ds, Olympus E-300. Most people like the Tamron 28-70 f2.8 for weddings (available in Nikon, and Canon mounts). The 18-55 kit lens with the D50 set, is pretty good for general shooting, as is the case with Pentax. Canons kit 18-55 kit lens for the 350D is probably not recommended.

The Olympus E-300 would not be my choice, but give it a look. It requires Olympus lenses, most of which are considered pretty good.

3. Stay away from e-bay kits. They generally pair up a good camera with less than stellar lenses, so it sounds like a good deal... which it isn't.
