Does anyone know how to transfer the 60frame slomo to an editing program while keeping the slomo effect and/or without the speed indicator on the top left? This is an great feature that seems to work only on the camera. When you transfer to the computer it goes to normal (lifetime) speed. Thank you!

While I don't have the camera (yet... but hey, I've ordered it... :) ), my understanding is that the camera doesn't do video editing. You probably need to either play with a video player that can do a slow-mo effect, or you need to use a video editor that can create a slow-mo effect.

Btw, I'm not pulling this completely out of my butt; I used to have a Canon S-50 before it got lost/stolen (left at a restaurant  , and presumably became a very nice tip for some waiter  ) so this is based upon what I know of that camera.

For video editors, I've used VirtualDub to edit my avi files before. (It's a free download, I forget where but google it and you'll find it)

You will need to use a video editor on your computer to reencode the video to a different frames per second default playback rate. The SD 400 can do some editing in camera, specifically trimming the head and tail of the video in camera, but it can not change frame rate of the .avi/mjpeg stream it creates. The "slow-motion effect" is merely the camera changing the playback rate of the video by the built-in player; no modifications are made to the original data file. The displayed information is also a function specific to the in-camera player.
