Interesting article. Where they talk about people, they seemed to expect a much greater revolution than has occured. Photography as a test of literacy? We still can't get everyone able to read a book.
When they didn't step too far out of the present, they were fairly accurate, but none of them saw the demise of film. Of course, as recently as 1990, digital cameras were nothing more than a geek toy. Still, that one article with the 'dry developing process, right in the camera' along with a turret lens system was pretty funny. There's a guy who was tired of changing lenses. If he's still alive, I wonder if he's seen a Panasonic FZ20?
Cheers,
Eric

Erich,
Since the article was written before the transistor even existed, I think I can forgive them for not seeing the "demise" of film (something I am not sure will ever happen). :D
It was interesting to see how much of it has come to pass... better cameras, easier to use, more automated. A lot of that came from the development of compact electronic devices and technology... something that could be guessed at in 1944 but certainly not a given.
Neat article, thanks for posting it, George.
