The install of stitch assist froze part way through (no clue why, never had a problem before) so i had to restart and I removed the software (stitch assist) that was installing when it froze. Now when I try to reinstall it, it says Stitch Assit is already installed but it's not there! in any folder that I can find. Someone please help me out! thanks

Hopefully someone will be able to help. I don't know how computer literate you are. As for me I am a computer idiot. But try going to your control panel and type in the program name and do a computer search and hopefully it will bring up your program and then you can go from there to either delete or move the program to a place where you can access it. Good luck. Another thing to try is if you get a message saying it is already installed you may have an option to overwrite it. Just click yes.

You definitely have some remnants left over from your first install. I suggest that you launch you browser (Internet Explorer, FoxFox, etc.) Then click on "Tools", at the drop down menu, click on "Internet Options". You will see an Internet Options window. Look in the section called Temporary Internet Files. Click on the "Delete Files" button (it deletes all the temporary files on your computer) Whenever you add a program, there are temporary Internet files loaded onto your computer. They are only necessary to load the program. Periodically, they should be deleted, anyway.

If you've never erased those files before, this procedure may take awhile to complete the deletions.

After the deletions are complete, you need to close your browser and reboot your computer. Try loading the program again. It should work now. Good Luck.

If you are using windows read on, otherwise disregard this ;)
Try running Registry Mechanic (http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/) and see if that clears up the problem. I don't how much the free/trial version will fix but maybe you will get lucky.

There are lots of registry tool for windows. Take a look here: http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/ (http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/results.aspx?bcatid=780)

I hope this helps.

:D It's always fun to play in the registery yourself. Just make a ERD beforehand.

I'm too chicken to actually edit the registry by myself (and too lazy to find out what does what).
The newest version of Registry Mechanic actually creates a Restore Point by default as far as I remember, so that is good.
