Hi All

Will a Pentax FA Lens 28-200 work with a digital camera? I have a 35mm film camera that I am not using these days, but if the lens works with digital I could keep it instead of selling/donating it.

Thanks

It may, with an adapter. This is from the Pentax *ist DS specifications page:

Usable Lens

PENTAX KAF2-, KAF-, and KA-mount lenses.
* Power zoom function not available. K-mount lenses usable with restrictions. S-mount lenses usable with adapter.
67/645 lenses usable with adapter and with restrictions.
Focal length multiplier: 1.5x

ALL pentax boyonet mount lenses (since the 70s) will work with the ist D/DS/DL no adapter required..

This includes the manual lenses (M,A) obviously no autofocus though (although focus assist light will still tell you when in-focus), and all autofocus lenses work (F,FA,DFA,DA)..

Yes they will work with the *ist series!

All lenses work. The screwmount lenses will require an adapter, but those only cost $15.
