Since purchasing my Canon i9900 over a year ago, I've stuck with Canon Photo Paper Pro, but recently I've read an in-depth review of various premium paper tested with Canon BCI-6 ink, and, well... I'm not so sure anymore. The results of the tests point to Ilford Classic Pearl as being the best when combined with the i9900. Classic Pearl sells for considerably less than Photo Paper Pro, which makes its alleged superior quality even more amazing. The findings are important because there are several Canon printer models that use BCI-6 inks. A 100-sheet pack of 8 1/2 x 11 paper sells for about $50.
In that same review, Lumijet Image Shield was mentioned as an excellent UV shield against print fading. A 14 oz. can sells for about $18.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these products?
