i,
I am not sure if this is the right forum. I am looking advice on camera and also technique.
I have a Canon Powershot A20 and will be upgrading to DSLR after trying out a few models. Below is a shot from the powershot. Powershot has only Exposure compensation/WB. There is no other manual control. I want to know what could a DSLR have done better. The first thing that came to my mind was using Aperture priority if i had a DSLR and seeting it to something like F18(Kit lenses support F22 on 350 i presume, right?)

What else i could have done better in a DSLR in this shot. It will help me a lot in choosing the right DSLR, though i am very very inclined towards 350 due to presence of battery grip(I got an army of AAs) and somewhat inclined towards D50(Have 1GB SD, though my CF collection is 200MB approx).

Now why i posted this image in particular is : I do such photography+ night photography. If you feel WB needs to be adjusted, that would mean D50 goes out of the window because of no WB braketing.
