View Full Version : Black & White Infrared
I used to do B/W infrared with large format (4x5) and do the whole darkroom thing.
Is there an SLR Digital camera with an infrared (B/W) option?
Thanks,

The answer is really "sort of." Canon (http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/digital/eos20da.html) evidently makes a camera they will sell only in Japan. In the US, you can get (http://www.sciencecenter.net/hutech/canon/) modified cameras, or you can modify a camera yourself (http://www.astrosurf.org/buil/350d/350d.htm) to do the deed.
Have fun poking around the net for your camera, and when you get one, post images for us to ogle!

to be more accurate, you can do IR photos with an IR filter and no modifications, but exposures will take longer because there is an IR blocking filter in front of the sensor. it is still pretty do-able as I and many others have the pics to prove it.
the IR blocking filter can be removed if you want to shoot at higher shutter speeds or if you have special purposes.
