D70(not S) vs. D50

I’m hesitating between D70 (not D70S) and D50 as they cost almost identically.
D70 is an older model than latest D50, but I think it has a bit more features. Also D50 is lowest Nikon DSLR model – kind of Nikon N55.

Are there any meaningful differences between the two?

The D70 has more features by far and even costs cheaper at some places than the D50. This is a no-brainer unless size/weight is an issue.
