Thailand/Nepal?

I'm looking for a new camera, and will be over Bangkok and kathmandu for a while. Although I know there's lots of electronics around there, can I trust te quality of it? what about pricing - is the difference worth the waiting?

Having been to both places, I wouldn't trust any electronics purchased over there to be both legit and fully functional. Unless you have local contacts, I'd buy from someplace you trust and can actually provide some service.
