I bought this for my step-son (he's 7 ) for Christmas. Thus far he's taken 3 indoor photos with it. Thank goodness it wasn't much more than $20 in Wal-Mart. I just tried it and the photo quality is somewhat - interesting...

I don;t get how they can make such awful, small images into such memory-monsters.

Wow. Look at thos file sizes!

If they had truth in advertising, you would see the following tag line on that product:

All of the quality of a cell phone cam in a conventional camera!

:D

I remember 110 film from little pocket cameras when I was a kid produced equally terrible images... at least this one doesnt cost a few dollars to producee a set of prints!

Kinda amazing how much those images look in comparison to my neighborhood.

Do you think describing them as digicams is an infringement :D of the law.

Actually I think newer cell cams produce even better images than that!;) Oh well you get what you pay for, and it's pretty much a "toy". Cool if you think about it. The cams I had in my childhood used those disposable flash bulbs. Anyone remember those? For my pocket instamatic, Kodak of course! I could still remember the burnt-out smell of those flash bulbs.:D

The ones that came in a cube that cost an arm and a leg?

Not bad for a $20 toy. It actually produces discernable images!

Hey Bluedog. I thought the same thing when I saw those pics! Reminds me of home.

And I thought my old Canon A80 produced bad CA...

Still though, not bad for pocket change.

oh, yeah...
even back then when i was about 5 years old i thought having to buy those expensive flash units was pretty sad. the fact that they burnt out after a single use was pretty sad too :D

The lens distortion almost reminds me of images made by the old Speed Graphic (IIRC).
