Hi. I haven't quite figured this out and I don't know much about how the photo naming occurs. I have a Nikon 4800 and sometimes while on a trip or something, the photos start to be recorded out of order. It goes in chunks. Then when I press the play arrow to see the photos, it doesn't show the last one I took because that one is earlier in the list. Maybe this occurs when I change the knob and take a panorama or video? Maybe when I delete a photo I took earlier? I haven't pinned it down yet but it sure it annoying paging through all the photos trying to find the one I took last and the naming screws up the nice alphabetical order it would have on my computer. It's doesn't always happen, but I've always been to occupied when it happens to try and recall the last few things I did.
In my last batch of 168 photos/videos, it starts with a panorama of 4 photos I know I didn't take at the beginning,
DSCN0001.JPG through DSCN0004.JPG. Then there is DSCN0011.JPG, DSCN0021.JPG, DSCN0031.JPG. THEN it goes to the first photo I took, DSCN1232.JPG and on from there in the correct order excepting the ones mentioned above.
Any help?

darnit, I swore this was the general area. Well feel free to delete this, I'll post there.
