Barrel Distortion

I've been having some trouble with barrel distortion using my FZ20. Is there any wayto correct this problem on the camera or is it just natural? What about using software??? Thanks for help.

google for ptlens - (there is a site from epaperpress)!
This tool has a photoshop filter which corrects vignetting and barrel distortion.
It reads your exif information and knows your camera and settings.
This is a part of the stitching software panotools.
