Hi Experts,
I have ordered for a Panasonic FZ5.But iam little apprehensive now.I saw many sample pictures of FZ5 and Canon S2 IS.Canon photos look a lot brighter. Is this a real issue with pana or that some settings needs to be tweaked to get brighter photos.
Please advise.
Thanks

It depends - do you like clear vivid colours, choose the vivid setting else use natural or standard setting. Settings will not be reset when turning off/on.
I've used the FZ5 for about a month now and I like the vivid setting allthough it might get to 'loud' when doing portraits.

One thing that helped the FZ10 was to shoot at (- 2/3 exposure)
Maybe it will help pop the colors on the FZ5 also.

Exactly the same as me and my FZ10. Mainly because i couldnt get a good shot first time being a rank amateur. The - 2/3 with auto bracket is very neat

Kuroneko, so thats why your shots all look so vivid & mine tend to be a little pale sometimes. Thanks for the tip. Do you shoot everything at -2/3 then or do you bracket shots? I bracketted some moon shots recently & looking back in hindsight the -2/3 ones were the best.
