I've become interested in nature photography over the past few months and my Konica KD-500Z obviously doesn't do the job. I'm interested in purchasing a DSLR. Ignoring price, I'd like to hear opinions on which camera I should go for.

the 7d is a stout camera and the IS will help A LOT for handholding macro shots and nature shots. I would get it for sure. I wish I had IS on some of my lenses.

Thanks. I was leaning toward the 7D for the IS actually. I plan to use a tripod in many cases, but there are plenty of times when that isn't an option and I figured the IS would be a great help. I've held the D70s, used a D70, definately a nice camera. I've not yet found a 7D to try out.
I'd like to hear other opinions if anyone has them. Also, recommendations for starter lenses would be great.
Thanks.

If you decide on the 7D I have these Minolta Lens for sale: 50mm f/1.7: $25 and 35mm-105mm f/3.5-f/4.5: $70 even pay the FedEx ground shipping charges ... they are like brand new.
