Panasonic Dmc Fz-10 Vs Fuji S5100

Looking to buy my first digital camera for mainly outdoor shooting & occassionly inside at family gatherings. Any comments on either camera. Tks.

S5100 has a very poor jpeg processing method which leaves alot of artifacts. It also lacks image stabilization.

i think the FZ10 is a better buy overall, however, the fuji is built like a rock and I did love my S5000 (though no IS at 10X zoom really does hurt)

Good point about the IS, I can get the panasonic for under $400.00 canadian, is that a good price for this camera new.
