I had an interesting email from Zeiss today that indicated, in response to my suggestion that they made Zeiss lenses with a Canon mount, there might be some interesting news later in the year. One can but hope.

Rhys, you've been hanging out at the Fred Miranda forums too much lately. :D

How did CZ get ahold of your email?

It would be nice if this were true, but I honestly doubt it will come to actualization.

I understood it could be that Zeiss lenses will be AF soon. Yes. I do hang around the FM forums - they have neat competitions.

what's your username there?
I frequent that board aswell.
AF zeiss would be a blast, but once again, I would take it with a grain of salt.

Me too. :(

I wish Canon made good quality lenses cheaper

good quality and cheap don't belong in the same sentence. Throw the word value into it and you can level the playing field. The new Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is looking like a good value lens.
