Hi everyone,
Im having some problems with pictures that I take where the background is bright but the subject is dark. In this following picture, I placed the subject under the shade of a Sycamore tree up against the backdrop of a bright sunny day and the Grand Canyon gaping in the background. In the shade it didnt seem dark at all, but the picture came out rather disappointing. Any suggestions as to what I can do to avoid this issue from occuring again? Settings are below the picture.
